puta que soy orgullosa de ser chilena...I'M HOMESICK!
abuelita lucy is in hospital salvador in chile after suffering 2 strokes, and i'm here in my small rented room in los angeles with no real way to be close to her. so, what i choose to do until i can take my trip to chile next month, i watch videos of some of my favorite chilean songs.
victor jara "el cigarrito"
los bunkers "cancion para mañana"
javiera parra y los imposibles
los tres "cerrar y abrir"
silvestre "chirimoya triste"
los bunkers and inti-illimani's version of "la exiliada del sur", and right now i feel like an exiled sudamericana.

my first blog entry...sorry i'm late!
"sorry i'm late!" are probably the three words i use the most in my life. why am i so challenged when it comes to time management? it's more than just having too much on my plate, it's because i enjoy daydreaming and thinking that time stops for my sorry ass when i am thinking about song melodies, movie ideas, or contemplating how nothing really matters.
so, i apologize, once again, for not having a blog back in 2004 when it was the latest rage and i would have been "on time"
i've been writing on quiksilver's siteLA blog this year about my musical adventures as a solo artist and rookie film composer.
more later, i swear.
wanna hear some music? go here.
i'm in the middle of putting my backing band together, artwork for the CD, press stuff, and live visuals on top of my lovely day jobs so, i apologize in advance if i don't post more for a little while.
siganme los buenos,
pilar
