Rage, Public enemy, and immortal technique all have some great songs like these 2 songs. I dont know much about immortal technique but i heard some of his stuff and he sounds like he has something urgently-relevant to say. I think songs should be relevant or atleast sincere sounding not all glib. i'm writting songs right now, but are nowhere near making an upfront political song, though i think if done subtly - alot of perception can be a work of art and relevant. By the way ; your "Novia de soldado" video inspired me to want to write a song called "epic girl"(saturday night lights). I hope you dont think all this is extraneous. I really liked the way the people came out on the video: When the girl is singing to her boyfriend at the beach, the family, the sights, ect. Cheers!
